Softball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the San Marcos Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 last Wednesday.

Kelsey Colvin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Dimyla Aupiu was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for San Marcos, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-10.

Pacifica will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Buena at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for San Marcos, they will square off against Dos Pueblos at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Chargers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
