Basketball Recap: Lazbuddie Takes a Loss

Lazbuddie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-11 loss at the hands of the Whitharral Panthers. The game marked the Longhorns' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Nathaniel Sansom, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds for Whitharral. Sansom's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jack Griffin was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and seven steals.

Lazbuddie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Whitharral, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Lazbuddie will host Happy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitharral, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-38 win against Southcrest Christian on the 13th.
