Softball Game Preview: ALA - Anthem South Titans vs. San Miguel Vipers

The ALA - Anthem South Titans will head out on the road to take on the San Miguel Vipers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. ALA - Anthem South has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

ALA - Anthem South barely beat St. John Paul II Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. ALA - Anthem South put the hurt on St. John Paul II Catholic with a sharp 35-16 win on Friday. Considering the Titans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

ALA - Anthem South got a massive performance out of Efremia Tsalikis, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with five runs, seven RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Barton, who fired off four runs, three doubles, and three RBI while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances.

ALA - Anthem South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, San Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 25-0 to Phoenix Christian.

ALA - Anthem South's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 runs over those games. As for San Miguel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
