Recap: Caldwell Bluejays vs. Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans
The Caldwell Bluejays were the 38-34 winner over the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Caldwell fell 46-34 to Cedar Vale/Dexter on Tuesday.
Caldwell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Risley, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds, and Mak Blosser who scored 11 points along with two steals. Risley has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
Caldwell has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Cedar Vale/Dexter will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oxford at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Oxford is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62 points per game.
