Volleyball Recap: Poquoson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Poquoson was the 3-2 winner over Jamestown when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Islanders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Wednesday. The Islanders' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

While Poquoson had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

Jamestown was led to victory by Kira Van Deusen and Peyton Tilley. Van Deusen had 36 digs and two assists, while Tilley had seven digs and four aces. Those 36 digs gave Van Deusen a new career-high.

Poquoson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Jamestown, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
