Softball Game Preview: West Brook Bruins vs. Sterling Rangers

West Brook hasn't had much luck against Sterling recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bruins will venture away from home to challenge the Rangers at 3:00 p.m. Sterling took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Brook, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, it was close, but West Brook sidestepped Lee for a 4-3 victory.

Calleigh Burton (2027) made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Burton (2027) was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Burton (2027) wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kya Hadnot (2025), who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Nederland, falling 11-0.

West Brook's record now sits at 8-14. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.

West Brook suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Sterling in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
