Softball Recap: Three Forks Wolves vs. Manhattan Tigers

After a string of 11 wins dating back to last season, Three Forks's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell victim to a rough 23-11 loss at the hands of the Manhattan Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Three Forks has scored all season.

Karlie McDermott led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Kluin, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Three Forks fell to 7-1. As for Manhattan, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Three Forks will head out on the road to square off against Florence-Carlton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Three Forks knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Florence-Carlton likes a good challenge. As for Manhattan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
