Soccer Game Preview: Kalaheo vs. Moanalua

The Kalaheo Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Moanalua Menehune at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kalaheo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kalaheo fell victim to Castle and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Meanwhile, Moanalua kept a clean sheet against McKinley on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 4-0 victory. The Menehune might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Moanalua and bumps their season record up to 8-5-1. As for Kalaheo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2.

Kalaheo might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Moanalua in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Kalaheo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
