Basketball Recap: North Falls Despite Big Games from Armonie Lewis and Ce'airah Underwood

North lost against Garfield Heights back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The North Vikings took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garfield Heights Bulldogs. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

North's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ce'Airah Underwood, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds, and Armonie Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards. That was a full 50.9% of North's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Noel, who scored six points and 12 rebounds.

North's record now sits at 2-18. As for Garfield Heights, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

North will be playing at home against Buchtel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garfield Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Warrensville Heights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warrensville Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season.
