The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials will head out to challenge the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Plymouth Whitemarsh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Plymouth Whitemarsh made easy work of Abington and carried off an 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Galloping Ghosts: they've now won six in a row.

Madison Moran was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Moran wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kalina Childers, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Gia Bono was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Plymouth Whitemarsh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Mt. St. Joseph Academy suffered their biggest defeat since March 20th on Saturday. They lost 12-2 to Central Bucks West. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Magic's biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, their record is now 12-6.

Everything went Plymouth Whitemarsh's way against Mt. St. Joseph Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, as Plymouth Whitemarsh made off with a 13-3 win.
