Volleyball Game Preview: Maeser Prep Academy Lions vs. Rowland Hall Winged Lions

The Maeser Prep Academy Lions will take on the Rowland Hall Winged Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maeser Prep Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

On Tuesday, Maeser Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over American Heritage, taking the game 3-1.

Maeser Prep Academy was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Rowland Hall didn't have quite enough to beat Intermountain Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Winged Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Rowland Hall sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 15-25, 15-12.

Rowland Hall's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Maeser Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Everything went Maeser Prep Academy's way against Rowland Hall in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Maeser Prep Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
