Softball Game Preview: Dunellen Destroyers vs. Somerset Tech Jaguars

Dunellen has gone 7-1 against Somerset Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Destroyers will welcome the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dunellen is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against Bloomfield, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Destroyers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alexa DeVesa was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyla Fucito, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Somerset Tech lost 14-8 to Veritas Christian Academy on Thursday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Somerset Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dunellen, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
