Recap: Skyview Wolverines vs. Gateway Olympians
The Skyview Wolverines can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They really took it to Gateway for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-13 victory on the road. With Skyview ahead 37-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Skyview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Kemm, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yzabella Tafoya, who scored 14 points.
Skyview is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Gateway, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will take on Thornton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyview is coming into the match with five straight wins at home, meaning Thornton will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Gateway will take on Adams City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adams City will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Gateway surely won't give up without a fight.
