Basketball Recap: Annandale Takes a Loss

If Annandale was feeling good fresh off their 57-36 takedown of Litchfield last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Annandale Cardinals lost 72-48 to the Mora Mustangs on Friday. The Cardinals lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in March of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 67-64 score last time.

Annandale's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mora, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Annandale will host Dassel-Cokato at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mora, they will welcome St. Cloud Cathedral at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mora is on a 14-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), St. Cloud Cathedral a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
