Texas has gone a perfect 10-0 against Marshall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Texas after they put the first goal on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Pleasant. The defeat continues a trend for Texas in their meetings with Mt. Pleasant: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Marshall's offense. They came up short against Hallsville on Thursday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Marshall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Hallsville are ranked 84th).

Texas now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Marshall, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Everything went Texas' way against Marshall in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, as Texas made off with a 5-1 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
