Basketball Recap: Reno Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Carson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Reno, they should've done a better job of containing Eric Platz. The Reno Huskies breezed by the Carson Senators to the tune of 72-42 on Wednesday thanks in part to Platz, who went 12 of 15 on his way to 30 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Braylon Wilson, who posted four points and four steals. What's more, he also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Reno and bumps their season record up to 14-7. As for Carson, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Reno will host Reed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reno is facing Reed at the right time seeing as Reed is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Carson, they will venture away from home to take on Damonte Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Damonte Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season.
