Baseball Recap: Fort Calhoun Wins Going Away Against Tekamah-Herman

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Malcolm, Fort Calhoun was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Tekamah-Herman Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Chase Bierman, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Presley Olberding was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.

Fort Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Tekamah-Herman, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fort Calhoun will face off against rival Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tekamah-Herman is set to square off against their familiar foe Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
