Volleyball Game Preview: Los Osos Grizzlies vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars + How To Watch

Los Osos is 2-8 against Rancho Cucamonga since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Grizzlies will venture away from home to face off against the Cougars at 4:45 p.m. Los Osos is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Tuesday, Los Osos earned a 3-1 win over Chino Hills.

While Los Osos might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Chino Hills scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-28, 25-23, 25-21.

Los Osos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Taylor, who had 15 digs, ten kills, and three blocks. Taylor has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last ten times she's played. Josslyn Jacks was another key player, getting 22 kills, nine digs, and two aces.

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Upland 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted against the Highlanders/Scots since October 7, 2021.

Rancho Cucamonga's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Los Osos, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Los Osos took their victory against Rancho Cucamonga in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
