It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amboy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Somonauk Bobcats 2-1. The Clippers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Amboy was led to victory by Morgan Kreiser and Jillian Anderson. Kreiser had 15 assists and two aces, while Anderson had six kills, six digs, and five aces. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Amboy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are undefeated (7-0) when they serve at least ten aces.

Amboy's victory bumped their record up to 10-18-4. As for Somonauk, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Coming up, Amboy will take on Aurora Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Somonauk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
