Basketball Recap: Livingston Manor Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Livingston Manor and Eldred squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Livingston Manor had to settle for second. They fell 52-42 to the Eldred Yellowjackets. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Eldred's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trai Kaufmann led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kaufmann's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Deyermond, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Livingston Manor's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Eldred, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

As of now, neither Livingston Manor nor Eldred have any future games scheduled.
