Meanwhile, Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Galesburg 64-29. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Maple Leafs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Geneseo's loss dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record of 14-15.

Everything came up roses for Sterling against Geneseo in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 62-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sterling since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
