Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gholson). They blew past the Johnson County Sports Association Lions 73-52 on Friday. Gholson not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 54-7).

Gholson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gholson will face off against Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on October 4. Gholson will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they will head out to square off against Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
