Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Hilton Head Prep extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Courtney Campbell. The Hilton Head Prep Dolphins took down the Hampton County Hurricanes 53-39 on Thursday thanks in part to Campbell, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hilton Head Prep's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Heins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.

Hilton Head Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Hampton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Battery Creek the next time they take the court. Hilton Head Prep will head out to face Battery Creek at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hampton County will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
