There's no place like home for Cape Fear Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lee Christian Falcons a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Fisher Stancil made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Cape Fear Christian Academy is undefeated when Stancil posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyson Stephens, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Conner Parrish, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Cape Fear Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cape Fear Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lee Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Cape Fear Christian Academy will head out to take on Crossroads Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lee Christian, they will face off against Friendship Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
