After a string of seven wins, Au Gres-Sims's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The contest between the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines and the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts didn't end well, with the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines falling 55-41. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, with their most recent loss being a 37-20 defeat back in February.

Au Gres-Sims lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lillie Maser, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Ming, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Au Gres-Sims was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their second loss (out of 16 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Au Gres-Sims' loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Mio-Au Sable, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Au Gres-Sims does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will face off against St. Mary Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mio-Au Sable's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
