While McKinley's victory against Tuslaw wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Mustangs on Friday. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for McKinley and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Tuslaw, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, McKinley will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orangemen have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Tuslaw, they will host Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
