Basketball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview lost against Lowellville back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crestview Rebels received a blow as they fell 59-42 to the Lowellville Rockets.

When it comes to explaining why Crestview lost, don't look at Jameson English. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 21 on his way to 25 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave English a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Evan Neff, who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.

Crestview has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Lowellville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will face off against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowellville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springfield at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th.
