Baseball Recap: Tucumcari Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tucumcari can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Rehoboth Christian Lynx on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Rattlers were not able to get on the board.

Tucumcari saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Tucumcari's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Rehoboth Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Tucumcari does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rehoboth Christian, they will face off against Hozho Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Lynx surely won't give up without a fight.
