Softball Recap: Beverly Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Beverly, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Swampscott Big Blue on Monday as they made off with a 14-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Big Blue: they've now won four in a row.

Beverly's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Swampscott, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Beverly will challenge Tyngsborough at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Swampscott, they will take on Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Witches have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Big Blue will no doubt try to take advantage of.
