Football Game Preview: Plainfield Quakers vs. Whiteland Warriors

Plainfield is 2-8 against Whiteland since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Quakers will head out to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Plainfield took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 30-6 margin over Franklin Community. The win continues a trend for the Quakers in their matchups with the Grizzly Cubs: they've now won three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plainfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Starnes, who rushed for 135 yards and one score. Another receiver making a difference was Zander Nattam, who picked up 57 receiving yards and three TDs.

Plainfield didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Franklin Community to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. Meanwhile, Whiteland got the win against Mooresville on Friday by a conclusive 35-14. The Warriors' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Plainfield's record now sits at 6-1. As for Whiteland, their record is now 5-2.

Plainfield took their victory against Whiteland in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 32-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Quakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
