Volleyball Recap: MacDonald Comes Up Short

MacDonald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Gunn Titans, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-13.

Nina Blanusa paced MacDonald's offense, picking up ten kills. Blanusa got some help from Hana Aman and her 14 assists. Darlene Tran controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gunn can attribute much of their success to Audra Yuan, who had four digs and two aces. Yuan is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Gunn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

MacDonald didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Saratoga on the 6th. As for Gunn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Wilcox on the 6th.
