Baseball Recap: Chaney Takes a Loss

Chaney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 21-3 to the East Palestine Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on Saturday.

Chaney now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Palestine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaney will face off against Badger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Palestine, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wellsville at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.8 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
