Basketball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Atlanta last Wednesday, Putnam County came back down to earth. The Putnam County Midgets took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Harrison Bulldogs on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Midgets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for South Harrison, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County will take on Knox County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Harrison, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mid-Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
