Baseball Recap: Campbellsport Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

On Monday Campbellsport's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves, sneaking past 6-4.

The team relied heavily on Brody Nolan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Riley Kohlmann was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Campbellsport pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Living Word Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbellsport will take on Mayville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 0.4 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Living Word Lutheran, they will square off against St. John's Northwestern Military Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
