Basketball Recap: Desert Sage Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Desert Sage Gila Monsters ended up a good deal behind Varsity Opponent and lost 63-47.

Despite the defeat, Desert Sage saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sote Huang posted 22 points. Jayden Villanueva was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Desert Sage's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Desert Sage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-40 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 9th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next contest, a 76-22 loss against Eastgate Life Academy on the 5th.
