Baseball Recap: Eastern Gets the Win

After only two runs in their last matchup, Eastern made sure to put some runs up on the board against Fairfield Christian Academy on Friday. The Eagles came out on top against the Knights by a score of 12-8. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Blaise Gilmore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Parker Durst was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
