Baseball Recap: Big Pasture Drops Season-High Score on Geronimo

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Big Pasture). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Geronimo Blue Jays on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Blue Jays: they've now won seven in a row.

LAWSON McCULLOUGH was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Big Pasture is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise. McCULLOUGH was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, DALTON TAYLOR was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. LAYNE DAVIDSON was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Big Pasture always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Big Pasture back to even at 7-7. As for Geronimo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, Big Pasture will take on Ninnekah at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Geronimo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
