Football Game Preview: Epping/Newmarket vs. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton

Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Saturday. They will take on Epping/Newmarket at 2:00 PM. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Last Saturday, Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton came up short against Trinity, falling 6-14. This makes it the second loss in a row for Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Epping/Newmarket, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against Somersworth, falling 6-42. The state rankings had actually given Epping/Newmarket a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
