Softball Recap: Floyd Central Gets the Win

Floyd Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Warren County's batters probably weren't too happy with Emmy Miller, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up zero walks). That's the most strikeouts Miller has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Elise Coleman and Addy Ware did most of the damage at the plate: Coleman went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Ware scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Floyd Central's record is now 2-0. As for Warren County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.
