Football Recap: King's Academy Knights vs. Stagg Delta Kings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aptos, King's Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed by the Stagg Delta Kings at home to the tune of 44-13. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.
Although Stagg took the loss, they still got scores from Julian Benton and Alex Hinojosa.
The win got King's Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Stagg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sacred Heart Prep at 7:00 p.m. on September 20th. As for Stagg, they will challenge Franklin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Stagg surely won't give up without a fight.
