            Football Recap: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Marana Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Mountain View dropped to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They were dealt  a  48-20 defeat at the hands of the Marana Tigers. If the Mountain Lions were looking for revenge after losing  46-13 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost, don't look at  Drake Davis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 133 yards and one  touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.  Chris Nelson got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

  Colten Meyer continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 439 yards and six  TDs while completing 75.6% of his passes. Those  six  passing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Sean Roebuck was  Meyer's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Mountain View will challenge Sunnyside at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Marana, they will face off against Vista Grande at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
