Baseball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Viera Hawks

For the second straight game, Bloomingdale will face off against Viera. The Bulls will welcome the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bloomingdale 1.4, Viera 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Bloomingdale heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Wednesday. They fell just short of Viera by a score of 3-1.

Javier Navas-Hoyer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bloomingdale saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Perez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

The win (which was Viera's third in a row) raised their record to 23-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bloomingdale, their loss dropped their record down to 26-6.
