Softball Recap: Rose Bud Ramblers vs. Bald Knob Bulldogs
Rose Bud was the 15-0 winner over Bald Knob when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Rose Bud Ramblers' tough 12-2 defeat to the Bald Knob Bulldogs on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Rose Bud has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Bald Knob's part, Avarie Foust was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. Foust was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Bald Knob let Adianna Shoebottom and Abby Hutchison loose on the outfield. Shoebottom went 1-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Hutchison scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Winkler, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
