Baseball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They lost 11-1 to the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers. The game marked the Marines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Fort Wayne Canterbury's part, JP Rohwer and Noah Hayes did most of the damage at the plate: Rohwer went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Hayes went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Hayes has posted since back in May of 2025. Will Hirschy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will host Argos at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they will be playing at home against Angola at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
