The field for the 2021 Spalding Hoophall Classic is beginning to take shape, with headlining showdowns between Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Camden (N.J.) as well as Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) vs. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) announced earlier this month via MassLive.

The Camden-Sierra Canyon matchup will draw plenty of national hype as top Class of 2023 prospects Bronny James and D.J. Wagner will go head-to-head for the first time.

Both teams are projected to begin next season in the Top 10 nationally as Sierra Canyon was ranked No. 5 and Camden was ranked No. 7 in our Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2020-21 released last month.

The other headliner will feature two of high school basketball's most dominant programs over the past decade, as Montverde Academy is slated to face off against Oak Hill Academy on Saturday night.

Montverde Academy has a strong opportunity to repeat as national champion next season, featuring an elite mix of returners and newcomers including Top 50 prospects Jalen Duren, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Caleb Houstan, Dariq Whitehead and Langston Love.

Oak Hill Academy is likely to begin next season in the Top 5 nationally, led by a trio of 5-star transfers in MJ Rice, Dior Johnson and Zion Cruz.

Mikey Williams and San Ysidro (San Diego, Calif.) are also expected to make the trip to Springfield, Mass., next season as the reigning MaxPreps Freshman of the Year will be among the top names headed to the 20th anniversary of high school basketball's top showcase event next January.
