Softball Recap: Warden Comes Up Short

Warden and Adna squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Warden had to settle for second. They lost 11-1 to the Pirates. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Warden's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Adna, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Coming up, Warden will challenge Napavine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Adna, they will take on Kittitas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
