Coleman has gone 8-2 against Breckenridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Comets are taking a road trip to  challenge the Huskies  at 4:00  p.m. Coleman has given up an average of 7.8  runs per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Tuesday, Coleman came up short against Benzie Central  and fell  12-9. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Eliza Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kendall Allen, who  went 1-for-3 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Breckenridge, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  10-9  win over St. Charles  on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Huskies have posted  since April 19, 2024.
 Adyson Collins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  doubles (two).
 In other batting news,  Emma Tinson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Blair Davenport also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Coleman's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Breckenridge,  the  win  got them back to even at 6-6.
 Coleman beat Breckenridge 12-9  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
