Baseball Recap: Schurr's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and Schurr had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Logan Trevino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Schurr is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 10-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Joshua Talavera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Schurr's record is now 14-15. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-6.

As of now, neither Schurr nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
