Basketball Game Preview: Crespi Celts vs. Sierra Canyon Trailblazers

The Crespi Celts will face off against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crespi knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Sierra Canyon likes a good challenge.

Crespi is returning to their home court after beating St. Francis on theirs, despite the fact St. Francis has dominated at home this season. Crespi walked away with a 71-63 victory over St. Francis on Saturday.

Crespi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Barnes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Barnes has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kingston Smith, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Sierra Canyon is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Grayson. Sierra Canyon enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Grayson. The victory was nothing new for the Trailblazers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Sierra Canyon has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Crespi, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Crespi skirted past Sierra Canyon 64-61 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Crespi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sierra Canyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
