West had lost eight straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-19 to make it nine. They came up short against the Tracy Bulldogs, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-3 defeat back in April.
As for Tracy, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.
For Tracy's part, the result came thanks to Elisa Galli's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. Galli has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emalee Cargill, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emry Couch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
As of now, neither West nor Tracy have any future games scheduled.
